This cutting grown Japanese Maple cultivar, known as 'Yves Arakawa', has an upright growth habit. It was chosen for its distinctive rough bark, which develops at a slightly slower rate compared to other rough bark varieties, making it a distinctive addition to any garden or bonsai collection. The leaves appear green with a soft red border in spring and transition to full green in summer. In autumn, the tree displays a stunning orange-red hue. This unique variety was first identified by Yves Létourneau of Les Bonsai ENR in Quebec, Canada.
