This Japanese black pine 'senjumaru' was created through grafting a Kotobuki scion onto a Japanese black pine stock at Ryoshoen. The resulting genetic mutation features clusters of buds and compact growth, perfect for small bonsai trees. Named by AYADA Tadashi, this variety inherits the short needles of Kotobuki while also exhibiting faster growth and improved branching.
