This Japanese Maple, known as 'Hubble's Super Cork', is an upright-growing variety. Its selection was based on the rough bark that appears at a young age, making it one of the best pine bark types available. In fact, the corky bark can be seen on trees as young as 2 years old! The leaves emerge green in early spring, with a soft red border that transitions to green in the summer. In the fall, the tree's color transforms to a stunning orange-red. This tree is perfect for bonsai work and was introduced by Scott Hubble of Metro Maples in Texas. It has been hand-grafted with precision and carefully grown in Oregon on a hardy and resilient rootstock. Don't pass up on the chance to add this rare and beautiful tree to your collection.
